SimiGon flying high after contract win with FAA
SimiGon announced on Monday that it has won a follow-up contract to provide the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with its simulation software.
The follow-on order from a "prime" contract signed in September is worth approximately $120,000 and will see the company provide its SIMbox software, development tools and engineering services for the FAA's Advanced Unmanned Aircraft System Research Simulator (AURS).
Ami Vizer, chief executive of SimiGon, said: "We are very excited to continue working with the FAA to support the AURS for the US Government. This follow-on order shows the flexibility of SIMbox in supporting multiple domains, including civilian UAS aviation research, a fast growing market."
Florida-based SimiGon is the developer of SIMbox, a software platform that provides the ability to create, modify, manage and deploy simulation content for aircraft, ground vehicles, ships, weapons, sensors, eLearning material and more.
The FAA will use the AIM based company's software to modify unmanned aircraft systems components to conduct research activities.
SimiGon said the new contract has been factored into its management's expectations for the 2018 fiscal year.
At 0833 GMT, the shares were unchanged at 15.25p.
